This Celtic and therapeutic circle comes to a natural close when we turn the fruits of our garden and forest into medicine. Making and drinking natural products such as herbal tea blends is one of the most tangible ways to bring the wisdom of nature directly into the body and soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alchemy in a cup: Tea as the liquid soul of the forest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Esus prunes the trees and we clear our inner garden beds, what remains is not devastation but a harvest. The leaves, flowers and roots that we lovingly grow in the garden or respectfully gather in the wild forest carry the imprint of this entire living organism. Turning them into natural products \u2013 especially tea blends \u2013 is, in a sense, the completion of the whole therapeutic process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Celtic tradition, druids were masters of herbs (lysvon). They believed that every plant had its own spirit and that drinking a herbal infusion was not merely a chemical process, but a way of receiving the wisdom of the earth into the body.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

The ritual of a cup of tea: Receiving the essence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While working in the garden is an active form of therapy (an expenditure of energy), drinking herbal tea is a receptive form of therapy (receiving).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we drink tea, we drink the sunlight, rain and wisdom of the earth that created the plant.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

When you pour hot water over the blend, it releases the essence of what you have cared for in the garden. Slowly drinking warm tea becomes a ritual in which you absorb the calm of the forest organism. It is a moment when you stop and allow nature to heal you from within. A cup of tea made from herbs you gathered yourself is tangible proof that sacrifice and work (the cut of Esus) have borne sweet and healing fruit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Each sip then reminds you that you are part of this great, interconnected whole.
